Blue Lotus

The Blue Lotus Dancers are a Middle Eastern Dance company that performs theatrical, contemporary, and traditional styles of belly dance. Performing together since 2005, they are well known for their dazzling costumes, impressive technique and dynamic choreographies. The Blue Lotus Dancers perform at private events, public festivals, community shows, as well as in ambitious independently produced theatrical shows.

The Blue Lotus was originally directed by Julianna in Rochester, MN. Emalee Morem, company member since 2005, took over as artistic director of the Blue Lotus in 2019. The Blue Lotus dancers are comprised of dancers from both the Twin Cities and Rochester, MN, and under the direction of Emalee, The Blue Lotus continues to be part a valuable part of the Twin Cities belly dance community.
